Welcome to The Wildfang Collection

The Wildfang Collection is a private mineral collection shaped by long-term, focused collecting and a commitment to refined mineral aesthetics.

It consists of several hundred specimens representing a wide range of mineral species. Developed over more than four decades, the collection follows a clearly defined and continuously refined set of aesthetic principles grounded in long-term collecting experience.

Its ongoing development is supported by a global network of trusted dealers, miners, and fellow collectors. New acquisitions are admitted only if they offer outstanding aesthetic merit or clearly surpass existing examples, occasionally leading to the deaccessioning of specimens that no longer meet the evolving curatorial standard.

As a result, the collection remains dynamic and increasingly focused—reflecting a personal perspective on mineral aesthetics that has been consistently sharpened over time.

The collection is on display in a private museum, housed in a secured, air-conditioned vault and presented across 22 well-lit showcases. Each piece is carefully arranged on individual acrylic bases on glass shelves, ensuring clarity and elegance in presentation.

The museum is open by appointment to friends within the mineral collecting community. Prospective visitors not yet personally known—“friends-to-be”—are welcome to inquire but may be asked to provide a personal recommendation.
